Registration Update

September 14 – November 28th 2020

September 14th, 2020, all classes will resume as they were Pre Covid-19.

You have been sent a new Pre-Approval email for the September-November 2020 Season.

Dancers will register for their pre-approved classes and will return to their regular Pre-Covid-19 class schedule.  Dancers will continue practicing the choreography they’d been working on in the 2019/2020 dance season, while maintaining social distancing, with their current costumes. All classes will be progressing with their technique.

Our goal is still to hold a “Year End Show” performance in some capacity in 2020.  This will be for

ALL current dansko dancers.  What this will look like exactly, is dependent on all health guidelines

near the end of November.

Details TBA.

Due to continually changing Covid-19 restrictions, class start times may need to be adjusted to accommodate drop off/pick up flow, studio cleaning and movement between classes, however this will not be confirmed until late August. Depending on your class size we may have to rotate in-class  and online instruction to adhere with our protocols and continue practicing social distancing.

We have protocols set in place for our Summer Dance Camps. These can be found on our website, and will be updated as needed, prior to returning in the fall.  Please familiarize yourself with our protocols before coming to the studio.

2019/2020 Costumes

For those of you who have not received costumes yet, we will be holding them until we restart in September.  At that time, we will be re-sorting or exchanging any costumes that may not fit.  Those of you who DO have your costumes at home, we ask that you keep them hung up and safely stored with all accessories so in the event they may need to be exchanged, we will be able to do so.

If you are NOT returning in September and haven’t received your costume yet, email the studio and we will arrange a costume pick up time during the summer.

New Students

We will be taking new registration via email to  Your inquiries will be held on file until we have had a chance to determine how we can accommodate new students into our current schedule. If you know any young dancers who are wanting to start dancing, please pass along dansko’s contact information:)

What will happen if we have a second wave

We pivoted to online classes in April and they were a huge success.  If we end up having to go into quarantine again at some point, we plan on running our “full schedule” online until it is safe to return to the studio.  We know all of these new procedures and concerns about a second wave can feel overwhelming and also how important everyone’s mental health is during this unprecedented time. dansko is here to provide our students with an outlet to de-stress and express themselves.  As a dancer, it’s one of the greatest gifts we have.  We are all in this together. Our dance community here at dansko, as well as all over the world, will get through this.
